Movenpick, three months old in Delhi, already has its set of loyal customers who frequent the place for their swiss imported flavours, that range from Panna Cotta to Blackcurrant & cream; and Macademia nut to the classic swiss chocolate .

The ice-cream boutique, done up in a red and white decor is situated in a corner opposite the fast food joint Johny Rockets on the second floor in Select City Walk, Saket.

It offers 18 distinct natural and low-calorie flavours in ice creams and sorbets, the latter being 99% fat free. One of the high points of the brand is that it caters to all sorts of age groups and taste buds.

The healthy twist in their sweet servings, without compromising on the taste value, is probably what makes the place popular among South Delhi’s crème de la crème.

For kids, they have smaller servings in mini cups and cones. Aged people can relish their sugar free delicacies and for those with a sweet tooth, looking for fuller meals, they provide ice cream combinations with lip smacking waffles or pancakes. It’s heavenly blissful for people with a high level of sugar cravings.

It’s not just the ice creams, but also their smoothies, in lemon, raspberry and mango variants, that tingle your taste buds. The swiss chocolate shake and coffee drinks made with espresso shots are a hot favourite with the customers. We tried the Ice coffee, already their best selling preparation and specially recommend the sinful delight.

Mövenpick delves into deeper aspects of hospitality, taking into account hygiene and an impeccable service. Their price brochures depict an exact picture of their bonne bouche, unlike other first rate brands which mislead the customers.

There is no fear of competition with other well established ice-cream parlours in the city as they believe they stand a league apart, taking their ‘Au naturale’ aspect as a front-running parameter.

Komal Gupta, Assistant Manager, Mövenpick, says, ‘I have seen people bonding in this place, marriage proposals being discussed and pregnant woman fulfilling their sugar cravings with our preparations’. On Mother’s day, Movenpick gave out free ice-cream scoops to mothers accompanied by their kids. ‘We did the same on Father’s day and these sort of schemes boost our sales as well as keeps our customers happy’, she added.

Pay a visit to their pleasant abode, it’s worth the effort. And the pleasant weather.
